“Amygdala by  DJ Koze ” finally a new DJ KOZE a true KOZALLA”; under the own flag the “PAMPA LABEL ” in BERLIN released  DJ KOZE aka STEFAN KOZALLA give us new album which is a bouquet .a crazy variety between genres , it is full real electro sounds we love  , DJ  KOZE  is not easy to fit under one cap , you can say he is Techno , is he indie ,you can hear his Hanse CITY influence of HOUSE powered driven PASSION , ya PASSION is the one constant you can discover in his sound scape and artwork , but there is ADOLF NOISE aka DJ KOZE who breaks with all concepts so he breaks satirical with hip hop and DJ KOZE is in German SLANG a “HANS DAMPF in allen GASSEN” , you can find him always with a bottle of Astra there where good sound is , IN AMYGDALA is a nice and solid HOUSE ALBUM by DJ KOZE but the little different is to found in the details , his technique and love to all kinds of sounds. DJ KOZE had summoned a bunch of artist of the electro scene and beyond the busy working at “war and peace theatrical adaptation ‘APPARAT aka SASHA RING,MILOSh, ADA, CARIBOU, MATTHEW DEAR, TOMERIE and MAIKO to colaborate with him.

AND one of the great who died in the year 2002 ;HILDEGARD KNEF who is the GRAND DAME of GERMAN CHANSON who did  not lose her CHARM she did got the appeal the je ne sais  pas , the it thing which DJ KOZE fitted in”Ich Schreib’ Dir ein Buch” a real brilliant CHANSON where he fits a CHANSON with funky details , to a brilliant gem of a tune with HILDEGARD KNEF SAMPLES.

Nevertheless the last tune  here with TOMERIE and MAIKO; it is the last tune  in his release which is always the cherry on the top , the tune which made the DJ KOZE a true STEFAN KOZALLA ,extraordinaire , extra avantgade  and a perfect concept of an album which is telling the story how does STEFAN KOZALLA aka DJ KOZE love music itself , this last tune  always frame the whole artwork build a bridge with the first tune so that  the last tune and  all the tunes between made it so complete one  ,his knowledge of sounds is like a crazy compendium , a wonderful one .the love to the details made it a funky playful one  , real kinky one, must be the HAMBURG house flair  , a sexy one ,SOUND and MUSIC DJ KOZE is his metier; “music ” is  the water and he is the fish, sum it up AMYGDALA is an ALBUM which is” a must have” DJ KOZE, is just  brilliant

Pampa is the label from old pals DJ Koze and Marcus Fink, dedicated to releasing club music that’s seriously danceable without recourse to the tried and tested ingredients. Plump DJs RIPEcast – Live from Breakfast of Champions 2013

Enjoy this live recording of the Plump DJs (Grand Hotel Recordings) from the Space Cowboys’ 13th annual Breakfast of Champions in San Francisco on New Year’s Day. Plumps DJs are internationally renown UK DJ/Producer duo Andy Gardner and Lee Rous, whose passion for innovation and non-conformist attitude to electronic music has fuelled their fire for over a decade.
