OK Appretadito aka Aaron Cantor from Staten Island ny, United States remixed “bam bam” (dj reaganomics remix)is a killer tune , RAGGA as best can be, million people started with ELEPHANT MAN or other RAGGA HEROES but my first RAGGA THING which i played over and over was SISTER NANCY’S “BAM BAM” because i was enchanted by her RAGGA CHARM ,I never saw a picture from SISTER NANCY but her ambition and attitude to work it out and fight to sing in a macho and male dominated MUSIC like RAGGA and DANCEHALL earned my respect and she was my personal female heroine of ragga and if i mention here name , like a fe days ago to the chief exec from sociopath record there was promptly “BAM BAM yeah classic ” she and her song “BAM BAM” is one of the most iconic RAGGA tunes ever for me, so i am grateful that   Dj Reaganomics made great remix from my beloved RAGGA tune by SISTER NANCy

Dj Reaganomics began music selecting in the early eighties by making mix-tapes, using recorded songs off of Detroit radio programs. Using the pause button, a song could be stopped on the beat in mid recording and then resumed on the beat of a new song, sometimes over the course of days, and spanning many radio programs. These “pause-tapes” covered the territory between pop electronica and rap: Prince, Zapp, Cybertron, Egyptian Lover, Rockmaster Scott & the Dynamic Three. The technique was perfected and the tapes were given to friends.
Thirty years later, he’s still at it. Only instead of a just a handful of kids in Ann Arbor Mi, Thousands of people, worldwide have heard and downloaded his mixes, re-mixes and original tracks. People in Japan, Czeck Republic, and Colombia, have Seen him Dj live, as well as audiences in NYC for the last fifteen years.
His sound is an accumulation of every musical encounter along the way: modern classical and world music records in his fathers collection, rap, punk and metal in the 80s, Jazz, Funk, Salsa, Jungle and 2step in the 90s. In the last ten years a typical Dj Reaganomics set will have New Orleans Brass, Dancehall, Moombahton, Reaggeton, Kuduro, Cumbia, Salsa, Batucada, Baile Funk, Putaria, Electro, Miami Bass, as well as hip hop from all of its decades of existence.
He has played with Douster, Drop the Lime, LOL Boys, Geko Jones and Uproot Andy at Que Bajo (as well as in Baranquilla Colombia, Carnival 2011), DJ Spooky, Dj Olive, Aphrodite, Aaron Spectre, Jess Jubilee, Munchi, Porier, Maga Bo, Dj Rupture, Matt Shadetek, and many others.

“Hannah Wants (aka Hannah Alicia Smith) is a star rapidly rising through the ranks not just in Birmingham but throughout the UK and beyond.” – music blog.

Hannah Wants is a self-taught house music DJ from Birmingham. She mixes a variety of house genres but her style is often heavily ‘bass’ influenced.

In 2012 alone, Hannah has played alongside the likes of Annie Mac, Disclosure, Justin Martin, Marcus Nasty, Danny Howard, Huxley, SBTRKT, Roska, Jamie George, Oneman, Redlight, Magnetic Man, Mak & Pasteman and XXXY.

Having been brought up in a musically orientated family Hannah was surrounded by a mixture of sounds such as Soul, R&B, Alternative Rock, Indie and 80’s/90’s house and electro from a very early age and her passion for music was easily established.

As Hannah grew older so did her ambition in wanting to become a DJ which would enable her to show off her style and preference of music to the masses. She developed a love for the late 90’s/early 2000’s house, speed/uk garage genres and on her seventeenth birthday was fortunate enough to receive her first set of vinyl decks. With nothing but a pair of Technics, Allen and Heath mixer and an ever-expanding cross-genre vinyl collection Hannah found her forte.

In 2010 Hannah decided to spend the summer in Ibiza in a brave attempt to gain DJ experience, musical knowledge and a positive reputation. With her unique style she quickly made a name for herself gaining a residency at Hush, winning three DJ competitions and playing at numerous clubs, bars and boat parties across the isle including Eden, Es Paradis, Space, Viva, and Vodka Club. It was in Ibiza that Hannah secured her first UK residency for one of the Midlands’ largest events GLAS.

Since returning from Ibiza at the end of September in 2010 Hannah Wants continued to impress the crowds and gained a fast-growing reputation across the country and played at major clubbing events in a a variety of cities such as Birmingham, Manchester, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Bradford, Leeds and London.

2011 was another big year as Hannah Wants began headlining clubbing events in the UK. In June, she returned to Ibiza for two months and played at various events / clubs such as Space, Eden, Es Paradis, Hush, Plastik, and Hed Kandi, as well as holding her own weekly night at Viva where her music selection / DJ style gained her many a fan. Upon Hannah’s second return from the Balearics, her DJ’ing career and reputation as one of the UK’s hottest talents, has gone from strength to strength.

In 2012 Hannah Wants has; won a Mixmag DJ competition, DJ’d at an underground warehouse rave in Germany, mini-toured in South Africa, played at events such as Creamfields, Annie Mac Presents, 2.31, Cream and has guest mixed on both Rinse FM & Kiss FM.

Although primarily a DJ, Hannah has always had a huge interest in the production of music and some her more recent tracks have been getting support from the likes of Shadow Child, Justin Martin, Claude Von Stroke, Eats Everything, B. Traits, Kry Wolf, Ben UFO, Chris James, Huxley, Gorgon City, Andi Durrant, Foamo, Marcus Nasty, Andy George & Jaymo, and DJ Q to name a few.

Hannah’s tracks have been supported on and received numerous plays on national radio stations; BBC Radio 1, Capital FM, 1Xtra, Kiss FM and Rinse FM.

Entering into 2013, things are already looking busy and Hannah appears set for a big, break-through year. Gigs are already locked in all around England including Manchester, Bristol, London, Leeds, Birmingham and Exeter, playing at some of the most reputable house music events such as Troupe at XOYO, The Exchange, Cream, 2.31 and playing alongside the likes of Ben Pearce, DJ EZ, Hot Since 82, Darius Syrossian, Roska, Kim Fai and Shadow Child.

Hannah Wants will be featured in February’s Mixmag issue as their “Keep An Eye On” artist which sits nicely with an EP release on Food Music consisting of “Dappy” and “None A Them” which is due for release in February / March. An exclusive guest mix is also set to drop on MistaJams BBC Radio 1/1Xtra show in the new year (date tbc).

With a strong ambition to build her ever growing status as a unique, credible and standout DJ/artist, 2013 is set to be her best yet!
