 DJ Saiyan – Magnetic Soul CREW gives HONG KONG an OASE to free your mind and soul with a fresh breeze where we find a genre which takes us out of the RAT RACE, MONKEY biZZ and cubicles because the BASS itself cleanse us from  the everyday white noise , it is like a meditative state of mind , a change of pace , space and frees your body , mind and  soul of the grey everyday  pressure , you and the other people who enjoy together  genres ranging from Nu Skool Breakz, DnB Jungle, Experiment & Dub music, genres which  are not mainstream , genres which is still underground;  we find them by Chanel and BURBERRY catwalk shows, but DJ SAIYAN AND MAGNETIC SOUL CREW give us here in HONG KONG the full spectrum of Nu Skool Breakz, DnB Jungle, Experiment & Dub  , it is truly the change HONG KONG needed the whole  music scene here is controlled and hard measured , but such artist like Dj SAIYAN is like MC YAN a cut in an old ceiling and wall paper you can see the other possibilities music can have like colorful wallpapers under the white ones , not just the white IKEA provided norm ,the famous looking glass provided by the artist . When you are in HK attend one of his shows or buy a OUTLOOK TICKET, music is travlling without moving , sometimes the other times we terk , pop lock and rock to the sound by Dj SAIYAN .

 

Based in Hong Kong & Macau, Saiyan is one of the core members & resident DJ of the Magnetic Soul Crew- most visible & prolific DnB Crew in Hong Kong. He founded the first Dnb/Dubstep event – Bass Attack in Macao, which was named as “the historic moment” in the Bass music scene of Macao. He is also the co-founder of Bass Music China (BMC) which promotes Bass Music Culture in China.
In 2002 Saiyan started band “Dr.” – genres ranging from Nu Skool Breakz, DnB Jungle, Experiment & Dub music. In 2004 Dr. released their debut album – “Dr” & kept their focus on music production & live performance.
In 2005, Saiyan joined Magnetic Soul, organized events & supported the likes of Roni Size, LTJ Bukem, Ed Rush & Optical, Total Science, DJ Fresh, Outrage, Spectrasoul, SPY & Black Sun Empire. He also DJed at several festivals in Hong Kong & Europe including Outlook Festival since 2012.

I am proud that such awards exist , true artist where nominated, true art where performed , and I can understand why the people won and why they got the awards , Sigur Rós – Valtari, is so well and passionated executed by the team , well written  and grandiose directed by Christian Larson. The stunning CHOREOGRAPHY by earned Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui  the award and the dancer themselves did a magical performance . I for myself can understand why this one got the AWARD,  between the beautiful location , the gorgeous dancer and the amazing choreography, nevertheless the gorgeous song by “SIGUR ROS” , the ravishing graphic scenery , was the moment where the dancer meet, when the soul met in the motion and the non motion , stills give me goosebumps, we got the first encounter , recognition, , the lost , the meeting and passion , the tender collaboration , the physik, the body , the touch , the breath you can smell the chemical unity, and the incredible last part of intimacy and her nipple gate is simple art  and not just porno .

THE FINAL move is just magical simple but like a smokescreen really hard to read but it is breath taking done by NICOLA LEAHEY and JAMES o’HARA.

SIMPLICITY can be so ravishing beautiful  Thom Yorke and Fukiko Takase  dancing in a way we love THOM YORKE , I saw THOM YORKE dancing years ago and I was always impressed how to move to his pieces , i was always so caught  to observe the moment and sound by THOM YORKE . I LOVE the walking hip hop motion both did at the beginning . STUNNING the motion and the reflection from THOM YORKE  and Fukiko Takase , THE SOUND ARTIST, the  inner embodiment of the sound , the developer meets the DANCER, the expressionist,  another form embodiment of the sound ,  both performe  the same thing and still so different , the most impressive motion is the tender caressing , where the dancer tries to understand the emotion and lays her head on his leg , the whole perfomance depict that there   is a  necessity a coexistence between the musician , the dancer , the artist and the audience .

10 month ago Wendy Morgan directed”Happy  by C2C” one of the most beautiful choreographed dance music videos, i had seen so far. This is the work and composition by “KING CHARLES” and hist cast . WHICH is just elite, Dancers (in order of appearance) :Story Basquiat, ing Charles, Kemo, Outrage and Cedric Gardner, everyone skilled and gifted , footwork, hip hop, lock’n, poppin’, crumping; ,just amazing dance abilities paired with the energized C2C composition “HAPPY” full positive attitude powerful gospel , like a spell , a pray for hope and power  to  change. this is one of my favorite dance videos because of all i know because , STORY BASQUIAT is are such a strong performer , so mighty with his movement and expression at the beginning of the music video, a strong opening to depict the gloomy , hopeless moment ,and BASQUIAT moved so supernatural , crippled  by the heavy burden to be not  able to be happy but he is going to take every dancer out of the heavy everyday burden and awake the will to change the moment ; and dance a little

my personal favorite , the energy is just stunning
