Russian-born Cosmonaut Grechko owes his dreamy production style to nothing more than pure imagination. Inspired by samples and found sounds, he builds his productions from the ground up without adhering to any particular style, while maintaining an identifiable warmth.
Cosmonaut Grechko’s records are disco as much as they are two-step or house, and are intentionally crafted for dancing. His mix for Bande des Quatres, inspired by the film-noir aesthetic of the Jessica earring, follows suit. Funky lounge jams like Sync Mode’s “Room With A View” and upbeat UK house tunes like “This Night” by Drums of Death are indicative of Grechko’s varied electronic influences. This mix is uplifting and nocturnal, certainly fit for intimate, youthful celebrations.
