La revolución de las máquinas ha llegado… eso sí, son otros “máquinas” quienes las controlan las máquinas (de momento). El pasado Sónar, el supergrupo Mostly Robot hizo su concierto de debut en Barcelona. Mostly Robot es la unión de la tecnología electrónica y el talento humano. Sus miembros son Jamie Lidell, DJ Shiftee, Jeremy Ellis, Tim Exile, Mr Jimmy y el colectivo visual Pfadfinderei, todos ellos trabajando con productos de Native Instruments…
Ayer salía a la luz un vídeo exclusivo de sus preparativos previos al concierto de Sónar 2012, con entrevistas a cada uno de los miembros de Mostly Robot y alguna explicación que otra sobre cómo utilizan los cacharros de Native Instruments para crear su música
Wenn sich Jamie Lidell, DJ Shiftee, Tim Exile, Mr Jimmy, Jeremy Ellis und die Pfadfinderei zu einer Band zusammen tun, dann kann man ruhig mal darüber bloggen! Wenn die Band dann auch noch den Namen “Mostly Robot” trägt, erst recht. Die Band war jedenfalls auf dem Sonar und hat da kräftig aufgespielt – digitale Effekthascherei und DJing ohne Vergleich – einfach fett! Das ganze ist in einem 8minütigen Video sehr anschaulich zusammengeschraubt. Da spielt es dann für mich auch eine eher zu vernachlässigende Rolle, dass das Video natürlich eine PR-Nummer von native instruments ist. Hey, andere bloggen für 50 Euro über Bacardi, habe ich gehört. Da kann man ja auch mal ein dickes Video einer Berliner Firma bloggen, wenn man nischt dafür kriegt.
